Experience Score methodology
Experience reflects real NFL involvement in the part of the game most relevant to the player’s role.
What experience means
A player can spend several years in the league without carrying the same on-field experience as someone who has played a large and important role.
RosterVerdict therefore focuses on meaningful NFL participation rather than service time alone.
Football context
- Offensive, defensive, and special-teams experience are considered in the context of the player’s role.
- Different positions accumulate meaningful experience in different ways.
- Missing or incomplete history lowers confidence rather than being treated automatically as zero.
How to read it
Experience shows how much relevant NFL work a player has already handled. It does not by itself say whether that work was performed well.
