Continuity reflects familiarity with the current team and role. It is different from total NFL experience.
What continuity captures
Players who already know the team, system, teammates, and expectations may bring a different kind of roster value from equally experienced newcomers.
Continuity highlights recent, relevant playing history with the current team.
Why it matters
- It helps distinguish established returning contributors from new arrivals.
- It provides context for position rooms that retain or replace major parts of their recent playing group.
- It complements experience without treating all prior NFL work as the same.
What it does not measure
Continuity is not a direct measurement of chemistry, coaching quality, scheme mastery, or shared-lineup performance.
