Editorial Standards
RosterVerdict exists to help people understand NFL roster change. Trust matters more to us than publishing first, sounding certain, or making every move look dramatic.
We separate factual information from RosterVerdict analysis. A signing, release, trade, draft pick, roster status, or contract fact should be supported by reliable public information. A score, role estimate, comparison, or verdict is our own interpretation and is presented as such.
We primarily research, verify, and enter information manually from publicly available sources. We do not build the product by scraping or copying websites. Important facts may be checked against more than one source when the available information is unclear or conflicting.
We respect attribution, copyright, database rights, access restrictions, and other applicable rights. We do not republish protected articles, proprietary grades, restricted datasets, photographs, or third-party analysis as our own.
We distinguish between confirmed events, credible reports, rumors, and our own inferences. A rumor is not presented as a completed transaction. When a situation changes, the label and wording should change with it.
We may cover small or early reports because offseason roster building often begins before a formal announcement. The uncertainty must remain visible, and readers should not treat a rumor page as official confirmation.
Player roles, Expected Games, roster values, position-room assessments, and team verdicts are analytical estimates based on the evidence available at the time. They are not claims of private team knowledge and should not be confused with official depth charts, medical opinions, scouting grades, or guarantees.
Reasonable people can interpret football evidence differently. We aim for consistent reasoning, explain the public meaning and limits of our measures, and keep detailed proprietary formulas and internal processing rules private.
We correct material factual errors when we identify them or receive reliable supporting evidence. A correction may update a roster event, player identity, position, status, source note, score input, or the resulting analysis. We do not silently preserve information we know is wrong merely because it has already been published.
Differences of opinion about a projection are reviewed, but they are not automatically factual errors. Corrections can be submitted through our contact page.
We may use software, automation, and AI-assisted tools to organize information, check consistency, draft internal material, or support analysis. These tools do not receive independent editorial authority. Public-facing claims, policies, and important conclusions remain subject to human direction and review.
Automated output can be incomplete or wrong. It should never be treated as a source merely because a tool produced it.
Journalists, researchers, creators, and fans may refer to RosterVerdict analysis with clear attribution and a link to the relevant page. Limited quotation for commentary or reporting may be appropriate under applicable law. Republishing substantial parts of the site, copying datasets, or presenting our scores and analysis as another product’s own work requires permission.
Advertising or commercial relationships must not purchase a favorable roster verdict, player score, or editorial conclusion. Sponsored material, affiliate relationships, or paid partnerships will be identified when they exist. At present, RosterVerdict does not publish paid team evaluations.
RosterVerdict is independently operated by Maksym and Olha Kononenko. We are fans, and we openly support the Houston Texans, but the product is intended to evaluate every team through the same framework. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFL or any NFL club.
